Stan's big musical break came when he became a founding member of The Housemartins in the early 1980's. The Housemartins had numerous hit singles in the following years including a number one in 1986 with The Caravan of Love. Stan has had a number of career detours since, from the lure of wholefood retail, to becoming a successful published author. However he has recently returned to music for several animation projects.
